Consisting of 230 rooms within a 12-storey building, Little National Hotel Sydney serves as an affordable luxury destination that caters to business, conference and leisure travelers. The property is further committed to meeting every guest experience expectation by adopting the latest technologies proven to maximize convenience, personalization and peace-of-mind.  

Challenge:

A recently opened property, Little National Sydney sought out a security access provider that could enable it to meet its goal of ensuring maximum guest safety throughout the property without leading to a lapse in convenience. The hotel specifically desired a platform that could integrate with its self check-in kiosks in order to ensure that arriving guests can seamlessly and instantly access their guestrooms.  An additional requirement also consisted of integrating a security solution with the hotel’s energy management system in order to minimize energy costs.

Solution:

Utilizing ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions’ VingCard Allure door locks, a sleek and stylish customizable LED panel that is implemented adjacent to guestroom doors, Little National Sydney can now ensure maximized guest security through the latest RFID security encryption technology. A customizable door lock designed to accommodate every hotel and guest need, VingCard Allure is capable of fully integrating with the property’s Guestroom Management System (GRMS) by Telkonet. This allows Little National Sydney to determine when a guest first enters the room, with lighting and temperature controls able to automatically adjust to ensure that each guest experiences a welcoming environment from the moment that they arrive.

Through the Telkonet Guestroom Management System integration with ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions locks and access management technology, the property can instantly detect guestroom occupancy status and implement automatic energy-saving settings for in-room amenities such as thermostats and lights once a room becomes unoccupied. The hotel can also leverage the integration to monitor temperature and lighting at all times to ensure maximum energy efficiency.

Guests at Little National Sydney can also use the property’s Liverton kiosks to check-in and out of their rooms, with VingCard Allure lock integration ensuring that all types of guests can be checked-in swiftly while minimizing potential germ exposure by eliminating the need to come into close contact with others. VingCard Allure’s integration with Liverton’s kiosks notably saves significant labour costs and time while streamlining the guest experience via a much faster and more intuitive check-in process. The kiosks interface with the hotel PMS for check-in/out, terms & conditions acceptance, credit card payment and have the option of linking to rewards programs in order to provide a more personalized experience while enhancing the potential to increase hotel revenues.
